James Woodhall

James joined Definia in February 2026 as PMO Lead, bringing over 15 years' experience in PMO, programme and project management, business transformation and operations leadership across technology, consulting and creative services.

James has built his career across both consultant and in-house roles, giving him a well-rounded perspective on what it really takes to drive meaningful change. He has a strong track record of establishing and leading enterprise PMO functions, aligning strategic goals with programme delivery and putting the right-sized governance in place to ensure financial visibility, control and performance.

Comfortable operating up to C-Suite level, James blends agile, hybrid and waterfall methodologies to tackle complex organisational challenges with a practical, data-driven approach. What sets him apart is his ability to build cross-functional partnerships and translate strategy into delivery — cutting through complexity to create real, lasting impact for the organisations he works with.

Outside of work, he's a music lover who is often found at gigs of all kinds, and he plays guitar himself. He's equally at home on the football pitch or watching from the stands, and also enjoys running and gardening.
