More than just a new look
We all need to move out of home eventually. A leading global beauty brand was undergoing an internal business and technology separation from its parent company and needed to align its business strategy with the wider divestment strategy. But deciding you’re moving out is one thing. Making it happen is quite another.
To make the separation happen, they needed to undergo significant technology transformation to build their ability in Oracle Cloud, including their architectural landscape, change management, PMO, project delivery and testing as part of a wider supplier ecosystem. You don’t carry out a transformation like that by flicking a switch, so they needed a partner to help deliver it.
This transformation partner needed one particular attribute above all others. It needed to be able to hold the various project partners accountable for their bit of the carveout.

Our job was to set up Oracle Cloud architecture to give our client the technological infrastructure to deliver the divestment. This involved:
- Designing and developing an overall enterprise reference architecture landscape of business capabilities, processes and both current and future applications, using enterprise architecture tools.
- Keeping an eye on emerging technologies and assessing alternative architectures according to their cost, performance and scalability, ensuring we picked the right solution for our client.
- Delivering documentation relating to application architecture, design steps, integration processes and testing procedures for each product developed.

Over the next 12 months, we deployed over 25 associates under our capability as a service offering, allowing the client to quickly access the best and most suitable professionals in the market, whilst we took accountability for delivering the cloud architecture programme.
