Introducing our new Contracts Officer, Beata Acaite
We’re excited to welcome Beata Acaite as the newest member of the Definia team! As a Contracts Officer, Beata brings a wealth of experience in contracts, governance and international compliance.
To get to know her better, Marketing Manager Alice Hankin sat down with Beata to learn more about her background, her views on business transformation, and what she is most looking forward to in this new role at Definia.
Welcome to Definia! Can you tell us more about yourself and your professional background?
I joined Definia in March 2026, with a background in contracts, governance and international compliance. I have a keen eye for detail and a practical, solutions-focused approach — ensuring that the processes and frameworks underpinning great delivery are robust, well-managed and fit for purpose. Prior to joining Definia, I worked in contracts and compliance at a renewable energy recruitment company, supporting teams operating across complex, cross-functional environments.
What will you be doing in your new role at Definia, and how will you be helping clients?
In my role as Contracts Officer, I’ll be managing Associate agreements, Statements of Work and client-facing contracts, as well as overseeing compliance across the business. Essentially, I’m here to make sure everything runs smoothly and compliantly on Definia’s side — so that the wider team can focus on delivering great work for clients without having to worry about the contractual and regulatory foundations beneath it.
What do you enjoy the most about working at Definia, and what excites you most about its future?
What I’ve noticed straight away is the team spirit here. Everyone is incredibly welcoming and works together really well — there’s a great vibe.
What excites me is that it doesn’t feel like a rigid structure where you just stay in your lane; it’s much more collaborative and agile than that. Everyone is encouraged to contribute ideas, use their unique skills and grow as a person. It genuinely feels like the team pushes each other to keep improving, and I love being part of that.
Outside of work, what might people be surprised to learn about you?
I moved to the UK from Lithuania back in 2018, so I’m still very much enjoying exploring everything it has to offer, including embracing pub culture! I love to travel and immerse myself in different cultures, and when I’m not on the move, you’ll find me at the gym or with my nose in a book.
The thing I miss most from home is buckwheat. I smuggle it back in my suitcase every time I visit Lithuania — and the last trip, I actually got stopped at customs. It was worth it!
