Definia appoints Rachael Hays as Transformation Director

Consultancy business Definia has appointed Rachael Hays as its new Transformation Director. Joining the company after two years with RM PLC, a provider of learning resources and technology products to educational organisations, she will now head up the Definia transformation practice based in its London office.

With a track record of implementing new strategies and initiatives to improve business processes and products, Hays will aim to bring direction and vision to Definia’s digital transformation, change management, and delivery. Her varied, client-facing role will also see her supporting the company’s project management offering.

She previously spent nearly six years at Control Risks and over seven years at Metro newspaper. But it was during her role as Digital Consultant with RM that she first came into contact with Definia – an association that would lead her to a brand new opportunity. Hays said: 

“I was a client while contracting in education with RM, working on a data and architecture programme. I came to Dean Corbett, a Partner at Definia, for digital project management capability, which quickly snowballed into multiple consulting and delivery engagements. If I needed to augment the team, I came to Definia. In fact, due to the company’s collaboration and approachability, I liked working alongside Definia so much that I wanted to be a part of it! After working closely with Gordon McMullan (Partner) and Will Jones (Director) for the best part of a year, I said, ‘yes, absolutely’ when they put it to me to join.”

Definia is the consultancy arm of talent solutions provider The IN Group, which enjoyed a successful 2022. The group achieved its highest ever revenue figure and continued to accelerate its growth plans with over 100 new hires. Through Hays’ arrival, the group will now look to strengthen its consultancy offering.

For Hays, one of the most exciting aspects of the role will be to re-envisage how Definia goes to market. “It’s important that we understand not only how we position ourselves externally, but also within The IN Group. As the group’s consultancy offering, we have an opportunity to supplement its recruitment services with expert project solutions that help our clients deliver meaningful transformation and future growth. These are exciting times both for Definia and the group as a whole, and I’m looking forward to tapping into the great minds we have here to really maximise Definia’s potential.”

Will Jones added:
