Introducing our new Engagement Manager, Nikhita Sharma
Meet Nikhita Sharma, Definia’s newest Engagement Manager, who joined the team in August 2026. With a career spanning financial services, public sector, professional services and publishing, Nikhita brings deep experience in transformation, change and delivery.
Marketing Manager Alice Hankin sat down with her to learn more about her background, her views on business transformation and what she’s most looking forward to in her new role.
Welcome to Definia! Can you tell us more about yourself and your professional background?
I’ve spent my career leading transformation, change and delivery across a range of sectors, including financial services, public sector, professional services and publishing. Throughout that time, I’ve worked with organisations navigating significant change — helping to deliver complex programmes, improve governance and build stakeholder relationships.
What I enjoy most is bringing clarity to complexity, building strong relationships with clients and helping teams deliver meaningful outcomes.
What are you doing in this new role at Definia, and how do you help clients?
As an Engagement Manager, I’ll be partnering closely with clients to support the successful delivery of transformation programmes: helping establish strong governance, manage delivery risks and build trusted relationships throughout an engagement.
My focus will be on bringing structure, transparency and confidence to complex change, whilst ensuring clients achieve outcomes that are practical and sustainable.
In your view, what are the biggest challenges facing businesses today when it comes to change and transformation?
One of the biggest challenges is that organisations are often trying to transform whilst continuing to run the business at full pace. Technology is evolving quickly, priorities shift and expectations continue to grow, but successful transformation still comes down to the people.
Having the right governance and technology matters, but bringing people with you, maintaining trust and communicating clearly is what ultimately makes change successful.
What are you most looking forward to in this new role at Definia?
I’m really looking forward to becoming part of a growing consultancy where there’s real opportunity to make an impact. I‘m excited to work alongside experienced colleagues, learn from different perspectives and support clients across a variety of transformation challenges. I am also looking forward to contributing to Definia’s focus on practical delivery and partnering with clients.
Outside of work, what do you do for fun?
Outside of work, I enjoy travelling and exploring new places, whether that’s a city break or a longer adventure. I also love spending time with family, friends and the dogs, keeping active and looking for opportunities to learn something new.
