Celebrating our community: Highlights from the Definia Summer Party
On Thursday the 12th of June, Definia hosted its second Summer Party, where we were joined by colleagues from Investigo — part of The IN Group alongside Definia — as well as our fantastic clients and Associates. The evening was sunny, warm and full of energy, with everyone enjoying the relaxed summer vibes.
What really stood out for me was the pride and passion shared by so many of our Associates, some of whom we have worked with for a long time and others who are relatively new to us. The variety of programmes and projects we have delivered and are currently working on is impressive. We are so lucky to have such a wealth of subject matter experts bringing real value to the clients we serve.
Some key themes came out of the many conversations I had:
- Change and transformation is very much still on the agenda. As companies try to improve efficiencies, transform how they use and maximise data and embrace new or untested technologies, the demand for seasoned and pragmatic change professionals remains consistent — especially those that can provide bespoke, niche approaches to optimise time, pace and engagement.
- Budgets are tight, so it’s essential that the strategic project portfolio is appropriately prioritised and balanced to maximise benefit realisation.
- There is growing interest in the provision of fractional senior thought leaders who can come in, quickly see the opportunities and help get initiatives off the ground — providing that external perspective which cuts through the bureaucracy, clarifying direction.
- The market is challenging, but there seems to be a positive upwards trend, with both the number and variety of engagements increasing.

I also spoke to a lot of Associates about our Delivering Change Associate blog series, and it was great that so many people were interested in talking about their passions, successes and past problems overcome.
