Spotlight on Danielle Spice, Delivery Manager

Each month we spotlight a member of the Definia team to better understand their role, how they support our clients and the latest trends they’re observing in the change and transformation space.
To kick off 2026, Marketing Manager Alice Hankin sat down with Danielle Spice to learn more about her background, her views on business transformation, and what she most enjoys about her role at Definia.
Can you tell us more about yourself and your professional background? How long have you been at Definia?
I joined Definia in 2024, bringing with me a decade of experience in supply chain and procurement management consultancy. During that time, I led first the data transformation team and then the client success team. Working with our SaaS products, I partnered closely with clients to help them unlock the power of their data — improving visibility, sharpening decision-making and driving better outcomes. It was work that sat right at the intersection of technology, data and client delivery.
What are you responsible for at Definia, and how do you help clients?
As a Delivery Manager at Definia, I’m focused on ensuring programmes are delivered in a structured and realistic way. This includes establishing clear governance, keeping teams aligned and staying on top of risks and dependencies as we progress.
A large part of my role is working closely with teams to measure progress, maintain momentum and flag any issues early so they can be addressed before they become problems.
In your view, what are the biggest challenges facing businesses today when it comes to change and transformation?
From a delivery perspective, one of the biggest challenges I see is that organisations often try to do too much at once, with teams wearing multiple hats. Most people involved in change and transformation programmes still have day jobs to do, so change initiatives end up competing with business-as-usual (BAU) priorities. When that happens, activities take longer than expected and decisions get delayed.
The programmes that work best are the ones where expectations are realistic from the start and the right people are brought in at the right time — rather than relying on already overstretched BAU teams.
What do you enjoy the most about working at Definia?
At Definia, there’s a real commitment to doing things differently and going above and beyond for our clients. This approach means we have the space to think creatively about how to solve problems, tailoring solutions to ensure our transformation programmes will actually work and make a measurable difference to each organisation we partner with.
