Introducing our new Head of Project Delivery, Lucy Farnam
We’re excited to welcome Lucy Farnam as the newest member of the Definia team! As Head of Project Delivery, Lucy brings a wealth of experience helping businesses navigate complex transformation challenges.
To get to know her better, Marketing Manager Alice Hankin sat down with Lucy to learn more about her background, her views on business transformation, and what she’s most looking forward to in this new role at Definia.
Welcome to Definia! Can you tell us more about yourself and your professional background?
I have spent my career leading IT service delivery, projects, and programmes across ERP, ServiceNow, cloud and business transformation. My experience spans diverse sectors including housing associations, education, not-for-profits, utilities, finance and legal. Most recently I was Head of IT Project Delivery, and before that I worked in IT and project delivery at Haven Power (part of Drax Group). I like to keep things straightforward—clear outcomes, no jargon, and helping teams feel confident in what they’re delivering.
What will you be doing in your new role at Definia, and how will you be helping clients?
I’ll be focusing on strengthening both project delivery and service delivery for our clients. This involves building practical playbooks and refining our products so that change becomes simpler, faster and more sustainable. For me, it’s all about cutting through complexity and keeping the focus on outcomes that matter
In your view, what are the biggest challenges facing businesses today when it comes to change and transformation?
People are tired of change. There’s a lot happening, but the value isn’t always clear to those going through it. Legacy systems and messy data compound these challenges. And while AI is exciting, many organisations aren’t ready for it yet — they need to get the basics right first. The solution is straightforward: be clear on priorities, keep people connected to the “why,” and don’t overcomplicate the governance.
What are you most looking forward to in this new role at Definia?
I’m excited about getting stuck in and working with people who genuinely care about making change land well. There’s something energising about collaborating with teams who are committed to delivering meaningful outcomes for their clients.
